Applications for wedge wire screen panels include cross flow sieves, vibrating screen decking, mineral processing, surface water intake screens, fish diversion screen panels, hatchery screens, food processing, and  flooring for malt kiln, germination, and grain drying.

Wedge wire screen panels can be constructed using round support rods or rectangular support rods. Wedge wire screen panels can be designed to optimize the open area strength and wear life for each application.
Custom framing and reinforcing is commonly added for ease of installation and to meet loading requirements.

Woven wedge wire screens supplied by Atlas feature precise profile shapes and slot spacing which mean greater open area and reliable slot openings.
The screens are also non-plugging, self-cleaning and abrasion-resistant.
Woven wedge wire screens are manufactured in AISI 304 and AISI 316L stainless steel, as well as other metal materials.

Typical Crimped Patterns:
Flat Top
The top or working surface of the screen is smooth, all the crimping is on the underside, asssuring a more even weave. Materials are free to move over the screen.

Double Crimp
Evenly crimped in warp and weft, providing a rigid construction. The wires are undercrimped and sprung together thus giving a mesh which will not chatter at the intersections.

Lock Crimp
A variation of the double crimp with an additional crimp to give a firmly locked mesh. Widely used for vibratory screen cloths.

Corrugated Crimp
Extra crimps in war and weft with the wires seated in every third or fifth crimp. Gives a rigid mesh even when the aperture is large in relation to the wire diamete.

These screens can be of standard stocked dimensions or made to fit existing treatment systems. Frequently supplied process screens are scale traps, outlet baskets, resin traps, precoat screens, plate and nozzles, water treatment under-drains, support grids, header and lateral screens. The V wire screen design
has proven performance increases for industrial and water treatment processes that collect and distribute liquid or retain and treat media.

These screens can be supplied as replacement panel, curved, drum and baskets screens for existing plant, or as complete preassembled finished trommels, sieve bends and dewatering plants. We have experience in the food, pulp and paper as well as municipal wastewater treatment with these products.

Filters are available as stand-alone units or in duplex design, which allow for cleaning online without interrupting flow or the filtration process. The V wire design not provides high security filtration with the screens free from tearing, collapsing or unravelling. Because of the V wire screen profile, the reverse flow self cleaning process concentrates and enhances the flow velocity for effective entrapped particle displacement by backwashing.
